Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions.

Will my internet stop on August 15?

Rural CONNECT says customers will be given time to transition. Residents should request the exact final transition deadline in writing so they can plan with confidence.

Am I required to change immediately?

Rural CONNECT says there will be time to transition, but the exact final deadline has not been stated in the notice. Ask for that deadline in writing before making a decision.

A temporary standstill would preserve continuity and customer choice while decision-makers review the situation and provide residents with clear information.

Is this a complaint against Tether?

No. This initiative asks Rural CONNECT and Red Deer County for transparency, a fair review and continued choice. It is not intended as criticism of any retail service provider.
